Snowcat Ridge: Florida’s first snow park on track to open this November

Snow and Florida — two things that usually don’t mix. But that’s about to change this fall with the opening of Snowcat Ridge in Dade City.

Snowcat Ridge is a theme park that is currently under construction in Florida right now. It will be the state’s first snow park of its kind. The park plans feature a a 60-foot-tall, 400-foot-long snow tubing hill, a 10,000 square foot snow dome with plenty of snow for all kinds of activities like snowman building, nighttime light shows, and more!

Did we mention that Snowcat Ridge, Florida's new Snow Park, will also feature a magical light show during the evenings…

Guests will be able to slide down the snowy banks in a single, tandem, or a 6-person tube. After your day of adventuring is done, you can then head to to the Alpine Village for some hot chocolate and a cozy fire to warm up.

The snow is manufactured, obviously. But it still counts, in our opinion! No need to travel far and wide to get your snow fix this winter in Florida.

The project was announced in 2019 and is slated to open up in November 2020. Snowcat Ridge will be located next to the TreeHoppers Aerial Adventure Park at 27839 Saint Joe Road in Dade City. Click here to get directions.
