McDonald’s adds new bakery items to breakfast lineup

Wake up and smell the…cinnamon rolls!

McDonald’s has always been popular for its savory breakfast items, including the legendary Egg McMuffin. Now, the fast-food chain shakes up its breakfast lineup by adding new baked goods to its core menu for the first time in eight years.

The brand announced Wednesday (Oct. 7) the delicious addition of a new McCafé Bakery lineup launching on Oct. 28. McDonald’s adds these new baked goods to its iconic menu: Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin and Cinnamon Roll.

Each new craveable item will be available all day at participating restaurants nationwide because you never know when that sweet craving will hit.

The apple fritter a hand-held treat made with cinnamon and apples, fried to a golden brown and drizzled with a sweet glaze icing. It makes a great addition to go with your morning coffee.

McDonald’s new blueberry muffin recipe is baked with real blueberries and topped with a streusel crumb topping.

The new, decadent cinnamon roll is loaded with cinnamon layered between buttery, flaky pastry dough and drizzled with a delicious cream cheese icing.

Known for evolving the breakfast menu over the years, McDonald’s says it hopes to continue the legacy of its breakfast story with the addition of these new food items.

Customers can grab the new McCafé Bakery lineup in restaurants via carry-out, at the Drive-Thru or through McDelivery.
