3 food and beer pairings you need to order at The Parched Pig

Bryan Anderson gives us three beer and food items you should consider ordering together at The Parched Pig!

The Parched Pig — A Tim Lipman Watering Hole is one of the coolest spots in Palm Beach Gardens.

This chic watering hole is the perfect spot for after-work drinks with friends and boasts a large wine, beer, and signature cocktail list. If you’re not sure what you should pair with your beverage, Bryan Anderson with The Parched Pig gave South Florida Weekend a few pointers.

Here are his recommendations:

Asher Blue Cheese from Georgia and the Jai Alai from Cigar City Brewing

These two match well because of the intensity of the flavors. It’s a strong cheese, and same thing with the hops and the piney-ness you get in the Jai Alai IPA.

Oysters and Briney Melon Gose from Anderson Valley

Oysters, there’s some melon flavors going on in there. I paired with with a really nice Briney Melon from Anderson Valley. It’s got some watermelon flavors in there and a lot of salinity, a lot of salt, really crisp, a lot of carbonation. It’s one of my favorite pairings. People don’t really know about oysters and beer but it’s an amazing pairing.

Charcuterie Board and Happy Hermit Pale Ale from Green Bench Brewing Co.

We have a couple different meats, usually four different meats. We actually make a lot of these meats here. I paired it with a pretty simple beer that has a lot of everything. I got a pale ale, it’s called Happy Hermit. This has a little bit of ‘hoppiness’ to it which is going to help with the spice and enhance that spice flavor, it’s going to cut some of the fattiness from some of the country-style hams.

The Parched Pig is one of 15 South Florida breweries in the Brewmaster Club. You can buy a Brewmaster Club card for $25 and get a flight of beer at each brewery listed on the card. To find this deal, click here!
