Frank Pepe’s Pizza to open location in Delray Beach this spring

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is bringing it’s New Haven-style “apizza” to Palm Beach County June 5.

DELRAY BEACH, Florida (SOUTH FLORIDA WEEKEND) - An iconic Connecticut-based pizzeria is making its mark on Palm Beach County this May. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana (also known as “Pepe’s Pizza”) will open its doors on a new location in Delray Beach on Monday, June 5. The new restaurant is located at 1701 S. Federal Highway in the Harbor Plaza.

Pepe’s Pizza was founded in New Haven, Connecticut by Frank Pepe in 1925. Since its inception, the New Haven-style “apizza” has amassed fans from around the world after 98 years in business. The family-owned and operated pizza joint has earned the number one spot on The Daily Meal’s list of Best Pizzas in America nine times.

“There’s been a lot of excitement from Palm Beach County residents about our new Delray Beach location—especially transplants from the northeast who grew up dining at Pepe’s,” said Jennifer Bimonte-Kelly, granddaughter of Frank Pepe. “We are excited to bring them a little piece of home and introduce Pepe’s to Delray’s vibrant culinary scene.”

The eatery in Palm Beach County will maintain an innovative water filtration system that balances the water in Delray Beach to match the water in New Haven so you know your getting a dough that tastes just like the pies up north.

Pepe’s Specialty Pies include:

  • Original White Clam Pizza - a combination crafted by Frank Pepe himself (fresh clams with Pecorino Romano, proprietary oil blend, fresh garlic, and oregano)
  • Spinach, Mushroom and Gorgonzola (mozzarella and Pecorino Romano)
  • Amanti Della Carne (crushed Italian tomatoes, mozzarella, meatball, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and Pecorino Romano)

Guests will be able to dine on an assortment of imported and domestic craft beer, Italian red and white wines, non-alcoholic drinks including Foxon Park soda, and Vino Dulce - a refreshing Italian Sangria mixed fresh in-house. along with a selection of Italian red and white wines by the bottle, glass, or carafe.

Pepe’s Pizza will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. They’ll offer dining indoors, outside patio space, and to-go orders.
