BOCA RATON, Florida (SOUTH FLORIDA WEEKEND) - Get ready to rock out! The Wall and Beyond is coming to the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton on April 7, 2022.
The Wall and Beyond is a collaboration of world-touring artists and production masterminds. Together, they create an experience that pays tribute to the moment Pink Floyd delivered the world’s first surround sound concert in 1967! Immerse yourself in the show with state of the art surround sound, led walls, lasers, and amazing musicians.
“The music speaks for itself, it’s some of the best pop-rock ever written, said Burleigh Drummond. “The show is one of the best shows you’ll ever see as far as staging, and lighting. You can’t lose on this show, you’re going to be impressed.”
You might know him from the band Ambrosia, but Drummond is adding another gig to his schedule these days. You can catch the 5-time Grammy award nominated drummer on stage at The Wall and Beyond.
“It’s huge,” he said. “For people who can’t see Floyd, this is the next best thing. This is definitely keeping the legacy alive and the band is ridiculous, I’m honored to be part of it.”
Drummond said he’s always felt a connection to Pink Floyd because of the music industry and the connections he’s made. For instance, Alan Parsons was the producer of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon and he also mixed Ambrosia’s first two records.
“Pink Floyd is the band that uses space to the best degree I have ever heard,” said Drummond. “They give you a line of music and then they give you two bars to assimilate it and I’ve learned a lot playing this music. How you don’t have to constantly impress. You have to let people come to it on their own and give them the space to do it and that’s what Pink Floyd does. The more I play it the more I’m impressed with it,” he said.
The Mizner Park Amphitheater will be fully tented for the show. It starts at 8:00 p.m.
