The 21st Annual South Florida Sweet Corn Fiesta is back this spring!

We’re just going to get to the point and not try to come up with any corny opening lines…

The Annual South Florida Sweet Corn Fiesta is back in action this year! After being limited to a drive-thru operation in 2020, the event will be in-person this year on Sunday, April 25th at Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.

“We’re back,” said Ann Holt, founder of the Fiesta, referring to the cancellation of last year’s event due to COVID-19. “We made the best of our drive-through event last year but it’s not the same as hosting our usual fun-filled family event.”

From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy delicious freshly harvested sweet corn, summertime foods, children’s games, a green market, corn shucking, live music, and more.

Included in the festivities is the return of the return of the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship! Major League Eaters come from all over the country to challenge each other as part of the 2021 season of sanctioned eating championships. You can see who can eat the most ears of corn for 12 minutes straight, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Major League Eaters from across the country will challenge themselves consuming one ear of corn after for 12 minutes of demanding competition, which will begin at 3:00 p.m. The total prize purse is $6,100 with the first-place champion earning $2,500.

Admission to get into the Sweet Corn Fiesta is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and FREE for kids 5 years and younger. Parking is free.
