Oh, say can you see this drink in your future?
If you’re looking for something beyond the traditional beer beverages typically associated with the 4th of July, then look no further. Hailey Hawn, a bartender at Rooftop 210 in Charlotte, NC showed our friends at Queen City Weekend how to whip up a summer cocktail perfect for the holiday – and every other day of summer.
- 1 and a half sliced strawberries
- 3 mint leaves
- 1.5 ounces Bacardi Limon
- Splash of Triple Sec
- Soda Water
- Blue Curacao
Place the strawberries and mint leaves in the bottom of your glass. Muddle the ingredients for a few seconds. Fill the glass with ice, then add Bacardi Limon and Triple Sec. Shake for a few more seconds. Place ingredients back in the glass and add ice as needed to fill the glass. Top off with Soda Water. Finally, sink some Blue Curacao on the side of the glass until it reaches the bottom.
