City of Boca Raton cancels ‘Fabulous Fourth Celebration’ amid coronavirus concerns

The City of Boca Raton has cancelled its annual ‘Fabulous Fourth Celebration’ for July 4, 2020.  The event was scheduled to take place on Independence Day at Countess deHoernle Park.

The City posted on its website that the reason for the cancellation is due to the COVID-19 global pandemic saying in part, “the collective health and safety of our community and staff are the priorities driving this tough decision. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the current situation and health risks surrounding COVID-19. Stay tuned for virtual programs and activities, as well as future event updates!”

The City also noted that residents should stay tuned to its website for virtual programs and activities coming soon.
