Metro Diner closes its doors in West Palm Beach after less than a year

It appears that Metro Diner has closed its West Palm Beach location less than eight months after it opened. The Palm Beach Lakes location opened in July 2018.

Despite a 4.5 star rating on Yelp, the business is now listed as CLOSED on the review website. A South Florida Weekend reader also stopped by the location and discovered a sign on the door announcing the closing.

South Florida Weekend reached out to Metro Diner and received the following response in regards to the West Palm Beach location closing:

The closing of our West Palm Beach location was strictly a business decision and is not a reflection of our teams dedication to serving the community.  This difficult decision was made in order to best position the SE Florida market for future growth. Later this year, Metro Diner will be opening in Royal Palm Beach and will continue to expand throughout the region.

We understand that closing our location in West Palm Beach will affect the lives of our Team Members and we are helping them with this transition including severance packages for those who are not transferring to one of our other nearby  locations.”

There are still several Metro Diner locations for you to visit in South Florida — they might just be a little bit of a drive if you’re in the West Palm Beach area. There are locations in Stuart, Pembroke Pines, Tamarac, and Coral Springs. Get a look at all Metro Diner locations at this link.
